Praying for Isaac…….

His name is Isaac and his name means “He will laugh; laughter”….. He is sweet, 4 months old, loved and adored by many.  This morning he is in surgery for Cranial Vault Reconstruction…. The sutures in his skull fused before he was born.  The surgery is 6-8 hours long, will involve a week in the hospital and then a recovery.

I wrote his name on my hand as soon as I woke up.  He is on my heart and in my prayers. Please join me as I’m specifically praying for supernatural wisdom for the doctors caring for him, that they are rested, refreshed and perform this surgery with ease….. I’m praying for Isaac….for healing, for relief from pain, for rest and that his joy and  smile will emerge again very soon…..I’m praying for the family that patiently waits.  They have surrendered this child into God’s care this morning with peace and hope.  They are familiar with their surroundings, the procedure and what to expect in the days ahead….This family has also surrendered their hearts.  I’m praising God for the parents of this child…. they know that he belongs to the Lord and have been a testimony for strength and grace since the day they were handed this diagnosis.   I pray that God will continue to encourage and strenthen them today, tomorrow and all the days ahead.  I’m thankful that we serve a loving God who pursues us and provides us the gift of salvation and eternal life through His son Jesus Christ. Although the world would like us to all believe that we are independent beings the truth is we are nothing without Him.  Praise God for the reality of His presence and that no matter where we’ve been or what we’ve gone through we are never too needy for Him. He loves us and expects us to be dependent on Him. …. and I am. I’m desperate for Him and thankful for the only Hope I have. ”  And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.” Romans 5:5
