Nick + Beth

I’ve been excited about Nick & Beth’s engagement session since I met with them the first time.  I got chills the minute Nick mentioned his yellow tandem bike. Although I don’t necessarily like “props” in my photos a bicycle made two is sort of special and a most worthy “prop” if we must have one.  When I asked Beth to hop in front and drive away she failed to mention that she’s not normally the driver of this bad boy which resulted in lots of swerving, squeals, and a near miss on the curb before Nick took over the driving.  I secretly wanted to give the bike a try but after I saw Beth drive it I refrained from asking….. Me crashing a bike wouldn’t be pretty.

I love the opportunity to work with each of my couples before their wedding.  It’s at the tip-top of my list of important thing’s list.  I like to hear their stories, see how they interact with each other and especially with me and my camera.  Beth and Nick were no exception.  I loved spending the time with them, seeing them laugh, how naturally they fall together for pictures and I love the images we got.  I absolutely can’t wait until their big day.   🙂

Beautiful and fun, Terri! How could they ever decide? Are the flowers all downtown Rockford? Nice!
